Enjoy a royal meal and traditional music under the soft glow of the stars, then take a guided night stroll through the palace grounds. Walk past Janggo, Jibokjae, Palujeong, and Geoncheonggung as you listen to stories of the past and soak in the beauty of Hyangwonjeong under the night sky.

Starlight Tour at Gyeongbokgung is a special program where you can enjoy a royal meal and traditional music at Sojubang, followed by a guided tour of the northern section of the palace with a professional guide.

○ Gyejodang : Check-in at the reception in front of Gyejodang near the Gyeongbokgung parking lot

○ Oesojubang : Royal cuisine experience and traditional music performance (Doseok Surasang)

Jaggyeongjeon & Heungbokjeon: View the exterior of the palace buildings

○ Janggo : Watch a short performance featuring Janggo Mama and a court lady

○ Jibokjae & Palujeong : Interior viewing of the palace buildings

○ Geoncheonggung : Short performance about King Gojong’s story

○ Hyangwonjeong : Special viewing after crossing Chwihyanggyo Bridge

Experience the 'Doseuk Surasang,' a modern reinterpretation of the 12-course banquet enjoyed daily by the kings and queens of Joseon.

    1) Lotus root & seafood salad, low-sodium pollack roe, cucumber salad, napa cabbage kimchi

    2) Candied walnuts, trio jeotgal platter, grilled deodeok, mung bean jelly salad (tangpyeongchae)

    3) Steamed rice, fish meatball jeon, zucchini jeon, grilled marinated beef (neobiani)

    4) Pomegranate and shiitake mushroom soup

    5) Special Dish (Kkotbyeolchan) : Abalone in soy sauce

  - Vegetarian Menu

    1) Seasoned lotus root, assorted pickles, cucumber salad, white kimchi

    2) Candied walnuts, trio jeotgal platter (shiitake, button mushroom, radish), grilled deodeok, mung bean jelly salad (tangpyeongchae)

    3) Steamed rice, king oyster mushroom jeon, zucchini jeon, grilled tofu

    4) Pomegranate and shiitake mushroom soup (vegetable broth)

    5) Special Dish (Kkotbyeolchan): Marinated root vegetable salad

    6) Dessert : Injeolmi rice cake, traditional preserved fruit, herbal confectionery, omija tea

<Starlight Walking Path>

After your meal, take a guided tour of the northern section of Gyeongbokgung with a professional storyteller. Walk through Jaggyeongjeon, once a residence for the Queen Dowager, hear stories of Janggo Mama, visit Jibokjae, King Gojong’s former study, and explore Geoncheonggung where his story unfolds. Cross Chwihyanggyo Bridge and take in the illuminated night view of Hyangwonjeong—offering a completely different charm from the daytime.
